Our Mission

Our mission is to empower marginalised communities across the Pacific Island Countries and Australia through sustainable, climate smart agricultural solutions and environmental management. We are committed to improving livelihoods, addressing the negative impacts of climate change, and fostering resilience in vulnerable populations. By integrating gender equality, and respect for culture and traditional practices into our approach, we aim to deliver practical, empathetic solutions that honour the unique needs and heritage of each community.

Our Approach

We aim to foster collaborative and impactful solutions that deliver meaningful, long lasting outcomes through strategic climate change interventions. Our team consists of 7 highly skilled agricultural and environmental professionals, with dedicated offices and in-country managers across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati and Australia. Providing localised expertise with unique positioning, to foster strong partnerships with Traditional and Indigenous communities.

Canopy and Culture exists to empower at-risk communities with the knowledge, resources, and support to overcome climate related challenges. We envision a future with sustainable livelihoods, strong food and water security, and social equity through climate smart agriculture and agribusiness.

Our Goal is to provide marginalised communities with the tools and resources to rebuild and strengthen their livelihoods in the face of climate change. We aim to foster long-term resilience by delivering climate-smart agricultural practices, costal restoration projects, and comprehensive business support. With focus on inclusivity, gender equality, and respect for cultural traditions.
